The Edge House designed by Jarmund / Vigsnæs Architectsper AS for a young couple, was built in Kolbotn, a suburb south of Oslo, and the couple, even when they have a meager budget, he wanted to have a truly spectacular home in which “seemed to could make a film of James Bond. ”
The couple bought a plot so terribly difficult for the construction of their house because it has eight vertical meters from the access road, but precisely in order to fulfill the wish of the young couple, the building was moved to the eastern perimeter of the ground and suspended above the slope on thin steel columns. Spectacular is not it? This is the Qatar National Convention Centre designed by the Japanese Yamasaki Architects, which will open its doors in 2011.The first thing that came to mind watching the project is a great old tree from the trunk and large branches carried in the year 3000, even though my personal idea is a little crazy, we all have to admit the iconic design and avant-garde This imposing structure which also is the first between the structures of its kind to be awarded the Gold certification “in energy and environmental design green building promoted by the Council of the United States.
