The project seeks to develop a prototype system to explore alternative construction materials and construction methods based economic re-use of fiberglass panels retired from the work of other works. These panels were transformed into a flexible modular system for a spatial configuration to the need for each user, designed to meet the housing needs of low income families and also for emergency disaster response or other situations in Mexico. House I Polish house: Made entirely of a plastic insulating material -Thermopian
The design, based on the typical Polish house, stands, regardless of bold color, for two very important features: the use of the same material throughout the jacket and an outer wall that distorts the simple and regular geometry of the house.
The bound material is an insulating plastic panel that is normally used only to cover: Thermopian. The outer wall is because the rules of the site requires the house edges are parallel to the plot. The position of this wall, despite its simplicity, leads to an unusual effect on the rest of the geometry, creating in some perspective the illusion that the ridge of the roof was slanted. House 205 Located at Vacarisses, Barcelona By HARQUITECTES
The intention was to exploit the character of the place, minimize earthmoving and preserve the appearance of forest. The site did not facilitate the placement of a house, but once extracted, the land surface layer was revealed a large patch of rock where you can place it without damaging the environment.
It then used a plywood structure with large-format prefabricated panels for walls and ceilings KLH, working together as a beam supported by two unique to the land surface of concrete struts. This system unifies mural structure, envelope and enclosure, allowing interior layout where the constructive logic is expressed as a sequence of rooms with free use equivalent. The Park BOX Portland, Oregon By PATH Architecture
The two housing units are built in an asymmetric single container in a corner plot. However, the design of the floor of the semi-basement is a mirror, with the economic benefits that this entails and the other plants there are many common elements.
At the same time, both duplexes retain complete independence and privacy with each other.
