Danish architects BIG are on a roll , right now have won the competition ( by invitation ) for the designing of the new National Gallery of Greenland , located in the capital city Nuuk , and have done it unanimously passing through over six other proposals Scandinavian architects groups ( Snøhetta , Heikkinen – Komonen , … ) . The fact is that should be recognized that BIG are experts in making architectural that functions as an icon -object , and based on there ‘ fun ‘ a bit . We were very positively surprised that this time the roof of the building is only that , the cover .
‘ArtScience’ Museum Singapore
The museum looks like a large lotus flower with a round base in the center, where each of the “petals” correspond to a gallery, with skylights that light up the point of the interior of curved walls. The taller has a height of 60 meters.All the collected rainwater is forwarded to their roofs up the middle to the lower part of the the building, later it is recycled to create a continuously cylindrical source with a waterfall, although some of this water is also used in the toilets of the museum. Spectacular is not it? The Miell Cafe by Suppose Design Office
The project we are discussing today is the expansion of Cafe La Miell in a Niihama Ehime, Japan. The owners of the cafe had the need to broaden the opportunities because they are too small for all customers who received, in order to combat this deficiency decided to open a new coffee shop across the street.
