The plot chosen for the new municipal kindergarten Moncada, lies north of the village, in the expansion area, and surrounded mainly of residential building. Rectangular geometry with a slight slope to the south, occupies an entire block of 1,346 m2.

The program of demands eight classrooms with their own toilets, a multipurpose room, kitchen, office, staff room, annexes, and playground.
The idea was understanding the building as a small courtyard house, where all interior spaces are closed at the immediate environment dominated the traffic, and will turn the school’s own outdoor spaces. The patio should be understood as an extension of the interior spaces, enabling and enhancing the relationship between interior and exterior.

The center is basically divided into two linear axes that contain the main circulation. The north-south axis, which relates the fundamental uses of the program: access, secretarial, administration, function room, dining room, kitchen, all classrooms, and two yards, and the east-west axis that connects the classroom.

In the north lies the area designated for staff, for staff toilets and staff room linked directly to a small room for rest of the smallest requested by teachers. These spaces are oriented to the south, north facing courtyard larger.

The entrance is situated on the west front, coinciding with a pedestrian road, and backfrom front line to allow a covered outdoor space. Linked directly to the entrance hall lies the secretariat, the north courtyard and multipurpose room, related in the corridor opposite side of classrooms to promote the connection between them. Looks like a small central courtyard as a fish bowl, which not only provides ventilation and lighting both the multipurpose room and the north-south corridor, but it also helps to understand the outer space one more. Then there is the kitchen, connected to the outside to facilitate loading and unloading, and as a final itinerary is the dining room, linked to the patio facing south to east.
